Employment at Excel Tutoring
We are always looking for qualified and experienced educators. The employment opportunity is flexible and part time though it is not seasonal. Please do not apply if you are only seeking summer employment. Upon application, please advise as to availability and we will match you with students accordingly.
From all employment candidates, we seek the following attributes:
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Have previous experience teaching or tutoring
- Are motivated and enthusiastic
- Passionate about teaching and learning
- Are proficient in a particular subject area (i.e. reading, writing, mathematics, natural sciences, foreign language, test prep and etc...)
- Know how to motivate students who are experiencing academic difficulties
- Possess a positive attitude
- Have experience with standardized tests, such as the PSAT, SAT, SSAT, ACT, GED, CMT and CAPT
- Know how to teach organization and study skills
- Caring, reliable and dependable
- Life-long learner
